INT. CATACOMBS - CONTINUOUS

A.L.E.X. flies down to the ground where the cocoon has smashed open.

PHREEMM. He scans its contents.

Amid preserved guts and meat, a female skeleton lies inside of the cocoon, completely stripped of her skin. She’s clothed in a ripped black jumpsuit, bearing the “ARC” logo.

INT. RECTORY - XAVIER’S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Petrified, Grace clasps her hands over her mouth to stifle a scream. She wasn’t prepared for this...she wasn’t prepared for this at all...

A gigantic mechanical tarantula, half the size of the room, hovers over Xavier’s body as he sleeps. Its many eyes glow in a fiery red...

Grace glances to the floor, for an even worse sight—

Sirena’s skin, freshly peeled, lays on the floor like a deflated balloon.

INT. CATACOMBS - CONTINUOUS

A.L.E.X. illuminates a name tag on the jumpsuit: SIRENA VASQUEZ.

A.L.E.X.

She’s...

INT. RECTORY - XAVIER’S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

GRACE

...Dead!

She slaps a hand over her mouth. Dang, it!

CRRIK. The tarantula whips its gaze, dead at Grace.

Grace, petrified, tiptoes her way backward, as gingerly as her quivering ankles will allow...

The beast starts to shuffle over...after her prey.

SHFFH! Grace scampers out of there and slams the door, tripping to the floor on her backside...I am going to die.

CHRGLK. The door jiggles violently. Here it comes...

It opens...out steps Sirena, in her nightgown. She flips her hair back.

SIRENA

Well, now you know my little secret.

Grace recoils in horror.

SIRENA

It’s too bad your dad can’t hear the cries of his little girl over the song of a siren.

(chuckles)

She hunches down to Grace. Strokes her face.

...She’s uncomfortably close.

SIRENA

(whispering)

And once your dad’s leg is better, I’ll rip the skin from his body, and wear it until it dries…

Grace is scared, stiff. Speechless.

Sirena pinches Grace’s cheeks.

SIRENA

Too bad I won't have any use for you...hmm! I’ll just have to kill you, won’t I?

(chuckles)

Fresh meat in the fridge, right?

Sirena leaves her, sashays back down the hall to her bedroom.

Grace just leans there...paralyzed and aghast as the beast simply strolls away, terrified at what must lie ahead...

INT. RECTORY - KITCHEN - THE NEXT MORNING

A plate sits on the kitchen counter. Fried eggs and steak strips.

A fork stabs a strip of steak, lifts it off the plate. Xavier.

GRACE

Don’t! Eat that.

Grace walks into the kitchen, groggy and sleepless.

Xavier hunches on a stool at the kitchen counter, trying to enjoy his food.

XAVIER

What do you mean, don’t eat it, it’s breakfast.
